About Me
Starting therapy takes courage. My hope is that our work together feels like a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can be heard and understood, and where we move at a pace that feels right for you.
I have over six years of counselling experience and more than a decade in human services, including clinical counselling, supportive housing, addiction services, crisis response, and community-based care. That broader experience shapes how I work: I'm comfortable supporting people through complex circumstances, and I bring a practical, collaborative approach alongside compassion and care.
I work with pre-teens, teens, youth, adults, couples, and families, and I'm a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
How I Can Help
I support people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences with:
Anxiety, depression, stress, and anger
Trauma and recovery from difficult experiences
Grief, loss, and major life transitions
Relationship challenges, attachment concerns, and boundaries
Self-esteem, perfectionism, self-criticism, and people-pleasing
Neurodivergence and related emotional, social, or relational challenges
Addiction and substance use
Career and workplace stress
Body image and difficult relationships with food
Concerns related to sexual or physical health
Personal growth, self-understanding, and resilience
No two people experience their challenges the same way, so therapy with me is always individualized, built around your strengths, values, goals, and readiness for change.
My Approach
My work is trauma-informed, client-centred, and attachment-based. I pay attention to how thoughts, emotions, the body, and relationships connect and affect overall well-being. Together, we explore what's bringing you to therapy, notice patterns, build coping strategies, and find meaningful ways forward.
I draw on evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs and goals, including CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, the Gottman Method, Somatic Therapy, parts work, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy. I am also EMDR-trained and incorporate EMDR-informed approaches where appropriate, within my training and scope of practice.
Sessions may include practical tools such as emotional regulation skills, breathing and grounding exercises, body awareness, mindfulness, creative activities, and connection with nature. The goal is to help you build self-awareness, manage emotions, navigate relationships with more ease, and grow in resilience and confidence.
For clients who wish, I also offer Christian-based counselling, integrating faith-informed perspectives with clinical practice in a respectful and ethical way.
