Grief & Loss Counselling in BC, Online
Grief doesn't follow a schedule or a tidy set of stages. It comes in waves, sometimes years later, sometimes over things other people don't recognize as losses at all. Whether you're mourning a person, a relationship, a future you expected, or a version of yourself, your grief is valid — and you don't have to carry it alone or "be over it" by now.
Grief can include:
Waves of sadness, longing, or emptiness
Numbness, or feeling like you're going through the motions
Guilt, regret, or anger — sometimes at the person you've lost
Difficulty concentrating, sleeping, or finding meaning
Anticipatory grief while caring for someone who is ill
Loss that isn't about death at all — divorce, illness, identity, home
How counselling helps
There's no fixing grief, and we won't try. Instead, therapy offers a space where your loss is witnessed and your feelings — all of them — are welcome. We help you make room for the grief while also tending to the parts of you that still need to live, work, and connect.
Over time, the goal isn't to "move on" but to carry your loss in a way that leaves space for both remembering and living.
