Self-Esteem Counselling in BC, Online
The way you talk to yourself shapes how you move through the world. When that inner voice is relentlessly critical — never good enough, always falling short — it can quietly limit your relationships, your choices, and your sense of what you deserve. Self-worth isn't something you're born with or without. It can be rebuilt.
Low self-esteem can sound like:
A harsh inner critic that's always running
Feeling not good enough, no matter what you achieve
Difficulty accepting compliments or believing you're valued
Comparing yourself constantly to others
Holding back from opportunities or relationships out of self-doubt
Basing your worth on productivity, approval, or perfection
How counselling helps
We help you notice and challenge the critical narratives you've internalized, often from a long way back, and replace them with a more accurate, compassionate view of yourself. This isn't empty positivity — it's building a genuine, grounded relationship with who you are, including the parts you've struggled to accept.
Our approach
Our therapists draw on CBT, self-compassion work, and approaches that get at the roots of how these beliefs formed. Sessions are online across BC, in English and Portuguese. Often paired with our work on perfectionism and boundaries.
