Anu John | Intern Counsellor
Anu John is an Intern Counsellor with vast international experience and is currently pursuing her clinical counselling registration in British Columbia. She holds a Master's degree in Psychology and has worked as a university counsellor, supporting young adults from diverse backgrounds. She speaks Hindi, Malayalam, and English.
In addition to her clinical work, Anu has served as an educator and skills trainer. She has also played a key role in the University Public Relations Office, where she coordinated several events and organized a case conference series for graduate students, among other initiatives.
Anu has listened to each unique story and provided meaningful support. This experience has given her a deep and nuanced understanding of people's lived experiences. She brings this insight into her therapeutic work, hoping to make a meaningful difference in one's life.
Anu integrates Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Problem-Solving Therapy, Social Skills Training, Mindfulness-based Strategies, Positive Psychology interventions and other evidence-based approaches within an eclectic framework to provide personalized and effective care.
