Clinical Counselling:

Children and Pre-teens, Adolescents and Young Adults, Adulthood, Late Adulthood:  $120
Couples and Families: $140

Clinical Supervision: $120

Sessions

 

Each session is 50 minutes. Couples and Family counselling may vary depending on the needs of the couple and the family. Payment is made at the beginning of each appointment and an invoice is issued at the end. Payment is by cash, cheque or e-transfer.

Third party health insurance often covers clinical Counselling through your family’s extended health plan. Please make sure to check into your coverage before your counselling begins. Extended Health plans known to cover counselling are Pacific Blue Cross, Sunlife, Manulife, etc.

On a case by case basis, fees are billed directly to a third party. These cases can include the following:

• Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC)
• Work Safe BC
• Ministry of Child and Family Development (MCFD)
• Delegated Aboriginal Agencies (DDA)
• Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)
• First Nations Health Authority (FNHA)
• Residential Abuse Program (RHAP)

Individuals must meet eligibility criteria for third party billing prior to the initial session. An agreement between the client, therapist and third party billing applies. Rates may vary based on each individual agreement and funding availability.

Sliding Scale Fees: A certain percentage of space is reserved for those who need counselling but are financially not able to pay for the full rate. In these cases, a sliding fee scale is available based on your house hold’s income. If there is no sliding fee spaces available at the time you seek therapy, you can be added to a wait list to have the next available space or be referred to another therapist.

Online/Video sessions can be arranged on a case by case need.

Preparing for your first session
When you book an appointment, you will receive an intake and contract form by email to complete prior to your first visit. Please bring any questions you have to your first meeting. The contract, confidentiality, regulations, along with payment methods will be discussed.

It is helpful to reflect on what brings you to counselling, and some of the outcomes you hope for. If you can, include specific symptoms you would like to overcome. If you are unclear about this, the first session will be an opportunity to explore it.

Regular appointments are 50 minutes long.

Cancellations
A 48 hours cancellation policy applies. Missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged 100% of the cost of the session.

We accept referrals from professionals and self-referrals.
